Canada Day in Bury

The Athletic Association of Bury (non profite organisation) is proud to host the 91st consecutive Canada Day in its community of Bury. More than 7000 people will celebrate with us around a colorful weekend and enjoy activities in Memorial Park such as the spectacular fireworks, the Olympics, inflatable games, the amateur program, the petting zoo, the gymkhana, the music shows and dances under the tent. In addition, several exhibitors and activities that take place on main street such as the parade and fishing derby. A great celebration for everyone young and old. Music entertainment on Friday night with the bulk of the activities on Saturday, June 30th.
Ice Cream Social
The Waterville-North Hatley United Church will hold their annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday July 5 from 5:30 to 7:30. Hotdogs, chips, drinks, ice cream with strawberries or cones. Rain or shine. Admission charged.
Benefit Show At Piggery
The North Hatley Piggery Theatre presents: Penny Dustin and Jim Malmberg on Friday July 6, this husband and wife duo sing Bluegrass and Folk music. Tickets are available by contacting Krista Fidler at 819-842-1401. Please leave a message. Proceeds to benefit the Waterville-North Hatley United Church.

Presentation In English At Research Centre
There will be a presentation in English at the Research Centre at auditorium 2458 at Youville Hospital in Sherbrooke on June 21 from 12 noon to 1pm. Development Of A Human Cerebrovascular Model To Study Alzheimer s Disease In Vitro by Dr. Jerom Robert Ph D Department Of Pathology And Laboratory Medicine Faculty of Medicine University Of British Columbia. Everyone is welcome. No reservations required.
AGM For Mental Heath Estrie
Mental Health Estrie invites the community to their Annual General Meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 21st at the Margeurite Knapp building located at 257 Queen street in Lennoxville. The main agenda items are: Annual Reports, Financial Statements and Election of the Board of Directors. Come and learn more about the important work we do to support English-speaking families and individuals affected by mental illness. Light refreshments will be served. Mechoui Fundraiser At Hut
There will be mechoui at the Hut ANAF Unit 318 on Saturday, July 14th at 6pm. Located on 300 St. Francis St. in Lennoxville. Beef, chicken, pork and all the fixings. Adults $20.00, children 6 to 12 eat for $10.00 and children 6 years and under eat for free. Fundraiser for the renovation fund.
Concert
Jon MacAulay and Friends including Louis Goupil, Brad Reilly, and Jonathan Guillaume Boudreau will be performing at the Hut ANAF located at 300 St Francis St. in Lennoxville on Friday June 22nd from 6pm to 10pm. All those who are 18 years and over are welcome. No admission charged. Blues, jazz, country, soul, folk, and more for music tastes.
Benefit Show At Piggery
Enjoy country-folk music? Want to support Plymouth-Trinity? Come to The Piggery Theatre on Wednesday, June 27th at 8 p.m. and hear Naomi Bristow, The Yodelin’ Cowgirl. Day Camp For Children

Exhibiton at Uplands


Uplands Cultural and Heritage Center presents Souffle du vent from May 6 to July 8, 2018. The exhibition showcases the works of artists, Lucie St-Jean & Mary Cartmel, who express themselves through painting and sculpture. The public is invited to meet the artists during the vernissage which will take place on Sunday, May 6, from 2 to 4 pm at 9 Speid Street, Sherbrooke (Borough of Lennoxville)
Richmond County Historical Society Exhibition
This year the Richmond County Historical Society s (RCHS) theme is music. We are going to highlight some local musicians as well as display some artifacts that deal with this theme. If anyone has an instrument (adult or child), sheet music, unique records or anything related to music such as pictures, etc., we would be interested in borrowing them for our exhibit. A brief history of the article would also be appreciated. If you are interested in lending, please contact Grace Johnston at 819-826-3118. Thank you and please come to visit our exhibits and hear some wonderful musicians at work.
Uplands Need Participants For Tranditional Tea Project


Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre is looking for men and women from Lennoxville or any other English-speaking community of the Eastern Townships, who participated in traditional teas between the years 1940 and 2010, whether in their family homes or during social activities. We’re hoping to hear your stories, in order to help us learn as much as we can about the tea tradition in this region. We would ask for approximately 45 minutes of your time for an interview.
